Paedos

Hiya,

There is nothing on earth that can convince me that the people involved in this advertising campaign are anything other than a bunch of child worriers. I'm not one to advocate vigilante action but given that this outrage involves attacking people in the advertising racket I'm prepared to make an exception.

I suppose I should do some research before forming a worldwide network of baying mobs to attack advertising executives but you know what modern life is, I just don't have the time. Obviously it would be a terrible tragedy if one of my bloodthirsty mobs surrounded the wrong agency and embarked on an orgy of violence but in the war against overpaid gak freaks who are into watching small girls bend over 'collateral damage' is I am afraid inevitable. It would also be awful if the words 'advertising executive' and 'paedophile' came to mean the same in the minds of simpler members of the public. Good God! What if Mags Haney got of whiff of this and hurled a hapless copywriter out a window! That would indeed be tragic.

Right I'm off to get my felt pens out and whip up a couple of placards.

Cheerio

I really hope this was a wind-up...
How the bloody ell did this get past a board of designers, much less commercial watchdogs??

Paedos, all of em. Have em shot. I'll lend you me permament marker if you need it ~ not to make placards, but to poke people int eye with!

How can they get away with an advert like that?

Yuck. . .

Suffice to say I won't be buying any, erm, "Creamsicle" products!

Deeply unpleasant. Even if it was a fake ad..............

It is a fake, please tell me, it is a fake ... isn't it?

That I doubt is an indication of our 'zeitgeist'.

Of course it's a fake. I've been trying to follow it up by trawling the net. If it was genuine it would have received far more press coverage and be mentioned on Breyers' own site, especially as it's supposedly about sponsorship.

I did find one rebuttal from icecreamusa.com on a German site (http://kqe.de/lickable-13372967.html but as I don't speak German I can't be absolutely certain about it.

To me it had the look of a real advert with altered text. But sod it lets attack first and ask questions later.

Got to be a fake.

A very convincing fake though... ew!

As a friend of mine is fond of saying - "never let the facts get in the way of a good lynching"

Even if it is a hoax (and I don't remember there ever being Olympics in 2005), it's a pretty sick one. As the father of young children, I find this kind of humour hard to stomach. So I'd happily join you in a lynch mob for the creators!

Clairwil said...

Kim you're welcome to join the lynch mob. I really don't get the humour in this at all. As I said earlier I assumed it was a real ad with an added on text highlighting the very dodgy aesthetic of the original. As far as I can now make out it's a spoof of nothing and a fairly grotty one at that. Now let's see some heads on poles.

The only reason I can think of for it's existance is that someone has a big time grudge against Breyer.
Even so................

Quite vile.

Simply repulsive.....

Please, folks, I've gone to the trouble of fetching the rope and the pitchfork from the garden shed.
No matter what, some buggers getting lynched. I'd prefer it to be some advertising twat, but am frankly not that bothered who gets it.

Facts? Pah! Think of the children!

Clairwil said...

Ah yes Davo,
but if there were no such thing as adverts, the hoaxer wouldn't have been inspired to create the fake advert. So get lynching.....
