The sharp eyed amongst you will no doubt have noticed the 'get paid to review this post' buttons that have appeared at the end of each of my blog posts recently. It's all part of my mission to earn a living at the blogging racket. To cut a long story short if you click on the button, sign up and write a review of my post you get paid and so do I. No I have no idea what's in it for 'them' either but Tim Worstall has been making a bob or two at it for quite some time now and he's quite the expert on numbers and stuff.
As I post a fair bit about other people's blogs, I don't see the harm in it. In any case it's only blogging -hardly high art. Besides I need the practice. One has to disclose the fact that it's a paid post so the high minded amongst you can skip it easily if your delicate sensibilities are offended by writing things for money.
With that out of the way. The chaps at pay per post have advised me that they are making an announcement shortly and have offered to pay me to start a rumour about what it might be. More peculiar still they have requested that I be inventive and wild. I cannot help but feel that they may live to regret that. I suppose there are all sorts of sensible rumours one could start like 'slight increase in paid blogging opportunities' or something dreary involving extra traffic.
Instead here is my rumour:
It's a CIA front for a false flag operation, controlled explosion sponsored by the 'uber lizard' that wreaks havoc on the stock market creating sixteen multi billionaire bloggers who will take over the world and oppress it with tales of plasma screen televisions and mobile phones. As for the identity of the 'uber lizard' I leave that up to you.
You may scoff but in three weeks time David Icke will be saying that with a straight face. And I bet he get's another book deal out it.
On the other hand it's more likely to be something about higher payouts, a new format, increased traffic or new charities to donate your earnings to but where's the harm in dreaming? I'm led to understand that the announcement isn't due until April which gives me plenty time to come up with a really good rumour.
To take a squint at what they might be up to click blogs.
