Clairwil Declawed

Hello,
I must confess. It's been bothering me for a while now but I've seen a few people get their comeuppance lately and not so much as smirked. Gloating is a big part of my life what if I don't get my gloat back? I don't want to be all forgiving and nice. I am an Aries, we're martial, rapists, loons and revenge hounds.

It's a bit like our office bully by the time we all turned the tables on her I felt rather sorry for her. It's clearly important for her to feel she's in charge, she isn't but who am I to ruin her daydreams?

I once had a tom cat that underwent a similar change after a visit to the vets. One day he was out fighting the next day he emerged from a box looking puzzled. He ate nothing but scrambled eggs and raw mince for a week then became a big, ginger jessie, though he stunned us in his later years by taking on 'Barrage' a rather aggressive feral cat. I haven't been to the vets though. Mr Clairwil reckons it's a sign of impending old age. Well he'd know. He's such a lightweight, always feeling sorry for people.

It's a worry.

Cheerio

Forgot to mention, this is the best soup in the world.

Empathy - it's a bastard, it really is. As we get older, some of us seem to develop it more and it just gets harder to laugh at prats & arseholes. I think that as we age, we've been in too many of those situations ourselves and so relate more.

I get nostalgic for the days when I could laugh at someone slipping on a banana skin - now I just feel their pain.

Pah. Who'd turn 40?

Hmmm, we'll see if Blogger will let me comment, it's lost all of my comments from the previous posts, the bugger.

I have gotten worse as I age, not better. I think that comes from seeing more of life, and realizing that a good many people are arseholes. I was damned evil when I was younger, mind you, but now I'm just beyond the pale. I don't have the patience and I can't be arsed. I am a big fan of zero tolerance and disproportionate response. Just ask my ex-husband. Surprisingly, I'm not to big on the gloating anymore. The smiting and blasting is just what's required to get the job done, and have arseholes take up less of my time.

I think you'll find it's Covent Garden's very own Carrot and Coriander soup. I will fight you all the way over this.

Fat Sparrow,
The day after I wrote this I witnessed one of my hated work colleagues do something so stupid, wrong and mind bogglingly idiotic I got my gloat back.

Kieran,
You are quite wrong. I am willing to fight to the death over this.
