Cheerio

Hi,
I'm away to Poland for a bit. Please talk about anything you like in the comments below. On my return I hope to be amused.

I'd like to raise the issue of state of the drains up Sliverers Court here in Sootfield at present. I fear there is a rotting boy trapped down there. Please bring a Polish drains expert with you on your return and send him to Calderdale, we can't find one for love nor money.

You'll never get anyone to polish the drains in Sootfield!

...oh, wait. I get you.

I regularly polish my drain, it gives me a well-rounded sense of acheivement.

So that makes the score 758,354 to 1 in favour of the Poles.

Plucky little Clairwil but don't bring any back with you in your suitcase!

Too late David, i've already asked her to bring me back some fish gutters and a labourer or two.

Ah yes, soon we'll all be talking the foreign, eh?

"talking the foreign"

You bloody well have to these days just to get a drink!

The Aussies aren't that hard to understand are they?

I never speak to them unless I have to!

Blind Winger,
I'm afraid I didn't meet any Polish plumbers, though I believe the stench from Sliverers Court is making it's presence felt as far a field as France. It can't be long till the Poles get wind of it and take action.

Mr McShae,
Never speak ill of Sootfield's drains. It brings bad luck.

Billy,
You are an example to us all. I never polish anything. As the late Mr Crisp pointed out, the dust doesn't get any worse after the first two years.

Ill Man,
I didn't manage to smuggle any Poles in, though I did manage to leave a few GHA Polish language leaflets here and there. I am depending on the Poles to civilise the east end.

David Duff,
Do you speak much of the foreign then or have you turned to the off sales? I'm afraid a bar maid from Dalmarnock is as exotic as it gets down my street.
