No, number 2 is a fantastic quote from Stanley Kubrick, and according to my very fashion conscious colleague number 3 is Christian Lacroix (is that really how you spell it? She assures me it is!).

Number 7 is the Marquis de Sade, and number 9 is Cleopatra in Shakespeare's "Antony and Cleopatra".

Other than that, I feel like I should know 1, 4 and 6, but I'm not sure...

Any number of people could have said 1. I have to admit I haven't got a clue about any of these, they are good quotes though.
